What you share on aely.me, how it's used, and how to reach me about it.

1. Who I am

aely.me is the personal site of April Aely, based in the Seattle area, Washington, United States. I run this site and I'm responsible for the information described here. For privacy questions or requests, reach me through the Let's connect form.

2. Information I collect

When you contact me. The Let's connect form collects your name, email, and anything else you choose to share, such as your company, website, topics and message.

When you chat with AI Pancake. The questions you type and the answers AI Pancake gives may be saved. If you ask AI Pancake to pass a message to me, it collects your name, your email and your message, and sends them only after you confirm. If you book a coffee chat, it collects your name, email, what you do, your website if you share one, and what you'd like to talk about, and books it only after you confirm.

When you book a call with me. To prepare, I look up public, professional information about you and your company, such as your role, your company's website and work you've published, and combine it with what you shared when booking and any chat with AI Pancake. I never look into anything personal.

When you visit. Like most websites, the hosting service records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request. This site uses no advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, and no cookies of its own.

3. How I use it

  • To read and reply to your messages and project inquiries.
  • To answer your questions through AI Pancake, and to review saved chats so its answers get better.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and keep it running.

4. About AI Pancake

AI Pancake is an AI character, and its answers are generated by an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong, so confirm anything important with me directly. Nothing AI Pancake says is a quote, a contract, or a commitment.

Please avoid sharing personal or sensitive information in the chat, such as passwords, financial details, health information, or anything about other people.

5. Service providers and sharing

I don't sell your information. A few services help run this site, and they handle data only to do that work:

  • Vercel hosts the site.
  • Anthropic provides the AI model that writes AI Pancake's answers. Your chat messages are sent to it to generate a reply.
  • Resend delivers form submissions and messages to my inbox.
  • Neon stores saved AI Pancake chats.
  • Cal.com schedules coffee chats you book through AI Pancake, and sends you the invite.
  • Google Fonts and a public content network serve the site's fonts and animation engine, which means your browser connects to them.

I may also share information if the law requires it.

6. Storage and retention

Messages you send me stay in my inbox for as long as they're useful for our conversation or work together. Saved AI Pancake chats are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Call preparation notes are deleted 30 days after the call. Bookings stay on my calendar. Hosting logs are kept for the provider's standard period.

7. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information you've sent me. Send the request through the Let's connect form and I'll take care of it.

8. Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top. Questions are welcome anytime through the Let's connect form.
